My Fitness Goals for 2004

Continue to work out and continue to increase level of fitness and train in a safe and healthy manner preventing injuries.

Better my time for the Indian Creek Triathlon by 15  minutes.  Did not meet due to the birth of my daughter

Compete in an Olympic Distance Triathlon.  Postponed Goal for 2005 because need to spend more time at home

Take 15 minutes off my River Cites Triathlon Time from 2002 only took 9 minutes off

Finish a 10K Run/Race moving goal to 2005

Better my time at the Meat Pie Tri

Better my 5K Run Time from 2002 by 10 minutes.

Continue to work out and continue to increase level of fitness and train in a safe and healthy manner preventing injuries.

Complete three sanctioned events.  Goal met 8-7-2005

Work on run to try to improve my run times

Finish a 10K Run/Race

Try to better race times from previous years

Better my 5K Run Time from 2002 by 10 minutes.

Well my season is over and I ended up in seven tri's this year.  My biggest improvements have been in the pool as I can swim a 1000 yards in 19:38.  I had gained weight during the off season and after getting my butt kicked in June, it was time to get back on track and so in August I started a fairly strict diet plan and after two and one half months have lost 6 inches off my waist.  I am feeling better about life as a result and have started to run again.  I am not running much as I write this, but I am improving.  I will update my goals for 2006 in January.  I have started strength training and that has helped.  I share all of this with you to let you know that each day is a struggle for me, but I want to be real and hopefully this will offer you some encouragement.    I am anticipating 2006 being a great year!  I also increased my bench press from by 100 pounds to put it in excess of 300.

 

My Fitness Goals for 2006

Continue with strength training and start working out with Personal Trainer Started 1-2-2006

Go through another rotation of the Body for Life System Started 1-2-2006

Continue to Work on improving swim by working on base in 1st quarter and moving to training for specific workouts for races

Build Base on Bike.

Run 3 times a week

Set race schedule with training partners

Introduce more people to the sport of triathlon

Do a 5k and a 10K

Realistically review whether I will do a Olympic Distance Tri

Continue to improve my times from last year and previous year
